I have an NX60 and a Zire Basic, and i use my Basic on long trips and such, and then use my NX60 around home and school so i dont lose it (So i instead lose the cheaper Zire Basic) Anyone else do this?

Nope, never thought of that... I would think that the monochrome screen would drive me batty!

Do you think that the Zire basic is a waste of $100???

Its what I qualify as a bashable device. Its nice, does a job, and you don't worry if it gets scratches and stuff.
But monochrome can be *hell* sometimes.

I wish they'd drop the price futher - I can't see paying 80 for the basic and 100 for the 21 - there's not enough difference there to justify a basic. If they'd drop the basic to 50, they'd be unstoppable. Anybody agree?
I have a number of friends who just don't want to shell out even 99 on a PDA, even though they DO want a pda. I'd think that at a $50 price point, there'd really be no reason for *any* curious people to check one out.

Sort of: I have a NX60 and love it. But there are times when I just don't want to lug it around but would like to have my contacts, etc. I used a Clie SL10 for this purpose for a while, but now I'm using a Palm T|E as my lightweight backup. I can't afford to lose it though!:D

That's a good idea, but I like to show off my NX80V everywhere!;)
I'm pretty careful with my Clie, so I don't worry about it too much.

Well, i dont go and TRY to lose the Basic... lol... just if i do, and like i said, my buddy hated it so i got it for only 20 bucks... also, i agree. 50 for the Basic and everyone! even kids can get em (think about it, games are 50 alone)

I use a S-360 (clie) for school, and a NX-60 for everything else.

I only synced the NX60. I then used IR to transfer any updates to my contacts to the SL10 (and later to the T|E).
However, I've now sold the NX60 and the SL10 and upgraded my T|E to a T|T3. It's extremely portable, so I don't need a lighter Palm anymore!

Nope - I have one PDA -right now a T3, and it goes everywhere with me. WHen I had an NR70V, it ALWAYS went on long trips with me as one if the reasons I loved it was to read books on trip. Reading books on the big screen in landscape mode was the best.

I have upgraded the S-360 I used for school to a zire71. 320/320! Yes!

Well, I'm not a Zire user either. I ALWAYS have my T3 on me, but I still own my m515 and keep it sync'd and charged up in case there are any issues with my T3. I need to have a PDA with me, hence the backup PDA.
