When will the T3 be available at my local best buy? (Do you think OS6 might be a future upgrade for it?)
Cant wait, if they are as good as people say, i might possibly say good-bye to my NX60!

Don't tell the guys back at ClieSource, but I am thinking about switching back to Palm when the T|3 hits...
Or I may even cross to the dark side and get one of those new <gasp> PPCs. They seem to be catching up as of late...

I switched from an NX60 to a T3 last week the day they came out. Loving it so far! Now I'm just waiting for all my favorite apps to support the Palm Hires+ APIs.

What are you waiting for? Might as well get a T3 now. I've had mine 2 weeks (tomorrow) and it's wonderful.
Don't even think about crossing over. You should here those guys drooling over the T3. They are not a happy bunch,

Exactly.
(again...i take a mind trip to school) In school, where PPC is dominating, everyone wants a T|T3. They say they NEED a T|T3. It's sad :p

I returned my Sony UX50 because the T3 looks soooo good. I am having a few doubts now about purchasing one (sd card problem, screen color variation) but as soon as it is available at my local BB or FS I will be purchasing one.
By the way, this is my first post. I was a little sad returning my Clie because I found Cliesource so helpful. I feel better knowing I have PalmOne City. Great Site!!

Although palm says that technically the T3 may be able to upgrade to OS6 they continue to say they do not have plans to offer it. I'm guessing they are saying this to cover their ass. If they say they are going to offer it and for some technical reason it doesn't work on the T3, people will get upset.

Wow, that's exactly what I am planning to do. I am very worried about the transition though. What junk on my Clie will carryover, I am wondering. :(
Or just like I did after leaving the Prism behind, should I just start with a fresh T3 and re-install everything? That's going to take me forever, and if I turn in my SJ30 first for store credit, am I going to have trouble reloading everything from my laptop?
What did you do? (I know, you just did it!)

(I would just like to share my thoughts about the T3)
i managed to hold a T3 for less than 5 minutes and I liked it. I liked it a lot.
The first thing I wanted to find out was how much heavier or lighter it was. It seemed a tad heavier than the T1 bur slimmer and feels better in the palm
Next I wanted to see how bright the lowest setting in the brightness slider is. Unfortunately in the less than 5 minutes of pleasure I couldn't find the brightness adjuster. Strange. Reason why I want to tinker with it is to see if I can live with the lowest setting so as to maximize the battery life.
Next I tried the menu bar. Seems all the important functions are there. And then I tried out what I felt was the most important feature of all: the landscape mode (A little history: when I had my T1 I used it to read medical journals i got from the web. It's a little bit tiring to read in the upright position. I then wished Palm would give the function of being able to turn the PDA sideways so I can hold it better. My wish was granted with an added bonus of a 480x320 screen. Oh yeah!
A lot of people complained about the strange layout of the button. I feel they designed it pretty well considering it's very functional when in upright or landscape mode. I can't imagine using the same button layout when in the landscape mode.
That's it for my very short 5 minutes of happiness. I still have to wait for more stocks to arrive since the one I had my hands on was already reserved.

Well, regarding OS6, I emailed palm and they said that every PDA since the TT2 is technically upgradable, but their explanation only addressed having an ARM processor, not extra space in ROM. I guess we'll have to wait for jackflash to work in the T3 to know exactly how much extra ROM space there is.
They didn't say they didn't have plans to offer the upgrade, they said they couldn't comment.
ARGHHHH!!!
my t3 still isn't available!!!

Best Buy didn't have them here two weeks ago, and neither did Circuit City. I found mine at Staples. They even gave me $40 in Staples store coupons to match the OfficeMax rebate.
You might call around to other office/electronics stores to see if others have one.

Last Saturday I decided to buy a T|E from BB. My aim was to test the Palm waters again. I left for Sony when I bought my NX60. I intended to use the T|E as a backup to my NX60 whenever I wanted to take my contacts with me but didn't want to lug around a huge handheld. I thought this would be an economical way to test out Palm's latest devices (prior to OS6 devices being released) so I could decide if I wanted to return to Palm.
I liked the T|E very much, especially the display which was much brighter than my NX60's. It has better color (more true) and much more vivid color. I liked the T|E so much that I listed my NX60 on eBay, sold it the next day, traded my T|TE for a T|T3 on Monday.
It's great! Now I've got a state-of-the-art powerhouse handheld with 320x480 resolution that I can actually put in my shirt pocket. Okay, so I could put the NX60 in my shirt pocket too, but with the T|T3 I don't tip over forward!:D
