Is it worth the extra cash? I know that it is convinient to have the camera and pda in one, but is the quality of the picture good enough to have it printed out on photo paper and pass for an acutall photo?

Yes, the quality is that good, as long as you stick to prints no larger than 4x5 or so.

OK, now for the downsides of the NZ camera:

1. It's slow to come ready: even if the unit it on, it takes 6+ seconds after you press the camera button before it's ready to take a picture. This delay will recur any time you leave and re-enter the camera application. The NX-70 camera is ready almost instantly.

2. The fixed angle of the NZ lens means you must hold the unit vertically in front of your face to take most pictures. The swivel camera of the NX-70 lets you take pictures from a more comfortable position.

3. The large size of the NZ images means that several seconds must elapse between shots before the camera's ready to fire again. The NX is ready in just a couple of seconds.

4. The large, visible NZ lens and the way you must hold the unit almost precludes candids. Candids with the NX are easy.

Of course, the NZ camera has 6 times the resolution of the NZ camera...and is much more versatile, with many adjustments...so that counts for a lot, too!

dramsey,

i can take about 3-4 pics in a row without much delay, maybe about a second.
I think it caches it then writes overtime.

I think you can still do candids, no one has a clue what you are doing
