Is anyone else having this problem? Certain programs just will not be copied/moved using drag and drop. This means I can't put BibleReader, Kinoma, Mapopolis, or any of my games on the new quick launch bar. I drag it to the bar and nothing happens. It seems to affect only progs that are on the MS.

I contacted Yi Bing and got this response:
"Thank you for the mail.

Please Try Menu->Edit Category->Init.
If it is a bug, it corrects by the next version.

Best Regards.

Piao Yi Bing."

I let him know that I have tried that and it didn't help.

I need to hear from you guys if anyone else is having this problem. If it's a prob just I'm having, I need to figure it out. If everyone is having it, we need to let Yi Bing know so he can fix it quickly.

Too bad that everyone thinks that he never responds to his emails.

Yes, I've had problems with dragging a couple of programs to the category - they just wouldn't budge.  I was able to get them categorized using the menu option though.

I haven't tried dragging every single app I have to the bar (and don't intend to), but Mapopolis and BibleReader (OliveTree) work just fine for me!

Are you using the registered or demo version?

Registered. Are those items on MS on in RAM?

That bug was in my upgrade as well, where icons kept appearing and disappearing in the "Unfiled" category each time I would rescan for programs. Then some of them wouldn't go to new categories at all. I ended up going into the Menu>Edit Category screen and tapping the Init button to clear it out. That will take all of your icons out of their previous categories AND remove any of your created categories, so you have to rebuild it all again. However, the icons then moved into the proper places and stayed there. It seems to be affecting people upgrading from a previous version for some reason, and hopefully will be fixed in the next release.

Cheers.

That explains why I have no issues/problems. For some reason when I installed 5.3 all my old categories were gone and I had to rebuild my old category hiearchy and drag the icons to their proper places (using the tabs toolbar). That took about three minutes and I haven't had any problems since and every app I have dragged to the Quick Launch toolbar works! This is definately a bug but you now have a couple of "workaround" choices.

So far, I have removed YiShow, deleted all my categories, recreated all my categories, reinstalled YiShow and I still have the problem.

Any prog that is located on the MS, will not work on the Quick Launch toolbar. This bug may or may not be related to the category bug. I don't really know.

Has anyone besides me tried to add an app located on the MS to the Quick Launch toolbar?

Guess that blows my theory! :o I too tried to push an MS app onto the Quick Launch bar and it wouldn't take. Looks like Mr. Yi Bing has some work to do on this feature addition.

Ok, I was wrong about one thing. I can now drag apps on MS to a category. HOWEVER, I still can't put them on the Quick Launch toobar.

I've e-mailed Yi Bing with a link to this thread. So far no response.
