Changing Categories in CO

I looked all over for this answer and can't find it. Does anyone know how if there's a way to use the scroll wheel or fwd/back buttons to change the category view while in Clie Organizer?

So far, all I can figure is you can only change between Applications, Datebook, Reference, etc. It seems annoying that I can't do everything with the scroll wheel like I could on my NX70v, but have to select my programs with my stylus. Thanks!

P.S. - Is there a way to get rid of the "Reference" section in CO? It really is quite useless to me.

You can do everything with the scroll wheel and the buttons on either side of the scroll wheel. Push (and release) the button on one side and the scroll wheel will scroll categories. Push (and release)the button on the other side and the scroll wheel will select programs.

The Reference section is the topic of many other threads, but no, there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of it (or, as of yet, add anything to it).

Do you think that TheGoGo disables this function? Because I can't get the highlight to move up to the Categories while in the CO at all via buttons/scroll. The only way that I can change categories is to tap the drop-down and select a new category. Is anyone else having this problem, or is everyone but me using ZLauncher? ;)

Not sure why you are having trouble. I've got THeGoGo installed and the scroll/buttons still work as I described earlier.

adamsjr, are you using the CO Applications tab, or are you using the Sony OS5 Applications manager? I'm trying tyhe CO Applications because it seems faster than the OS5 option. I tap the left/right buttons, then scroll, but it simply scrolls through the programs within that category. I can't get the highlight upto the category dropdown without clicking it with the stylus. I'm hoping for a one-handed option, and updated to CO v1.01 yesterday hoping that that would fix the problem but no joy. :confused:

You are right. I was using the Sony Applications manager. (The title "Clie" at the top left misled me.) Sorry about that!

I did do some playing in the (real) CO just now and it appears that you are correct, you can't change categories one handed. However, if you leave the categories set on "All" and have the "Use large icon" preference checked, the buttons on either side of the scroll wheel will page up and page down. Not as nice as the the Application Manager, but might help get to an application faster when using CO.
