Is there a way to set up your alarms so that when you put a date in your Clie Organizer datebook, and the alarm rings, that it only pops up for the Clie organizer, as oppesed to Clie organizer, and the original datebook. Here is what is happening, I set a date in the Clie Organizer Datebook, to ring an alarm. When the alarm rings, it pops up a date in the clie organizer, and the exact same thing in the regular datebook, which is kind of annoying becasue then you have to go threw both of them, when they are the same.

It is known bug/issue, search in the TH forum here.
People call it dups or duplicate alarm.
I believe it happen once you sync. If you just create a new appointment and test it, it would not produce dups. Once you sync it it will be dups.

Cheers

This is what I found. When i set a date, and check it a few minutes away, it only rings in one datebook, but if i set a date tomoorw it will ring in both. even if i dont sync it still does, i cant understand why though.

It's because CO is a bloated, buggy PIM. If I could rip CO from ROM, the TH55 would be a near perfect PDA.

Update your CO from the Sony Support website and your duplicate alarms will be gone forever

markleaver,

How did you make it gone?
I have it all the time even after I updated it.

I simply applied the update. Check that it really has upodated to version 1.01 (Clie Organiser that is) Other than that I can't help you

No way, I have (like most here) upgraded to version 1.01 (yes, I checked the version) and the double alarms are still there, they just come back after a hotsync.

I know U R not alone with this problem, as another user under another thread has reported experiencing double alarms after updating to 1.01.
I never use the CO app, as I have Agendus v7.x installed, and I'm wondering if using this app. has overcome the double alarm problem?

That's what I hate most, I use Agendus 8.0 and never the CO, so I just wish I could get rid of these double alarms.

I've tried excluding ALL datebook syncing (CO and Palm standard) but, no luck....

Hope someone comes up with a solution, I've read somewhere the Datebook5 allows you to switch CO alarms off completely, maybe we should contact Iambic and ask them to come up with a similar function for Agendus..

How peculiar. I don't use CO, just Agendus 7.x, and Zlauncher. I never have double alarms now, but I used to get them before installing CO v1.01, and the TH55 would lock up with all the lights on but no one home.
Maybe choosing small fonts in the CO still affects the stability of the whole thing. My Clie now works without any major hiccups since applying all of the above, but I'm not sure which app/update made the double alarm problem go away.

** If anyone needs further info on the double alarm/CO font issue, you will have to search the threads, as I have lost track of it now, but it was well-researched, although I never had to try it as the patch came out around the same time as the discovery of the small font issue

well.... this beats me

I have reinstalled the CO (PC) update and reactivated all datebook syncing (CO and Palm) and I'm not getting double alarms even after a hotsync (yet ;))

keeping my fingers crossed...
