Well, it took 3 weeks to get my screen protector, and after 1.5 weeks of use I am taking it off and going with the naked screen again. The Martin Fields protector is by far the most clear screen protector I have ever seen, in fact you can hardly tell it's there when looking at it. However the reason I am taking mine off is simply because of the sensitivity of the screen. 90% of my taps were inaccurate or required a lot of pressure. Games like SimCity were impossible to play with any level of joy, (difficult to drag and create a road.) I have also tried the Belkin screen protector (yuck) with OS6 just around the corner, I guess this will be a good way for me to justify the upgrade (scratched screen, need a new one) I have noticed many posts on this forum about screen protectors and the TH55, and from my personal experience it is definately better naked. Oh well, if anyone is interested in slighty used Martin Fields protector PM me ...

Thanks Jayman...
I really appreciate you posting this, because I've been thinking about getting a screen protector. I've never liked them, and this helps my decision to stay 'au naturel'. Of course I don't think I would go nude if I wasn't using my flip cover. It protects the screen inside my flip case very well.
Multiplayer Warfare Inc wouldn't be as near as fun with protection!

OMG I can't beleive I am reading this: on my dandy trusty old reliable Orange Visor, I did not use a screen protector (i had the graffiti area scratched up due to all the usage) BUT when I plunked down the money for my NX70, i did not use it UNTIL I had the Screen Protector... so far I HAVE had no sensitivity issue but TO SCRATCH my screen o_O no way.
Well, you see it as an upgrade opportunity, I still could not bear to do that to the screen... I on the other hand am using the Boxwave SP... so far so good...
I, also, never used a screen protector in my m500, but I thought I'd try the Boxwave with my TH55. I am a somewhat reluctant user, but I'm leaving it on, despite a few dust particles underneath. (Maybe one day I'll take it off, wash it and try to reapply without the dust.) Anyway, I have had no issues with digitizer sensitivity -- absolutely none. The Boxwave is an anti-glare protector, so it does soften (a nice word for blur) the display ever so slightly, but it's hardly noticeable after a day or two. I thought I would end up removing it, but I really do hate to scratch this beautiful display.

Good louck with washing it! I had the same protector and tried to apply it at least a dozen times. Every time, I would get tons of dust and fuzzies.
What are people doing to scratch their screens? Do plastic stylii really scratch a glass screen?
Glass? You must have the European version ;-). Mine's plastic.

Try the Javoedge screen protector. I never liked screen protectors had one on my old palm V got rid of it fast. I owned the Palm Vx, Palm 505, Palm 515, Clie NR, NX, without one. Now I have the TH 55 with the Go Go caps on need a little protection for the screen. (have'nt found a case I really really like yet) It was easy to get on. It came with a card, and a cloth. Haven't had any problems with it. I think the web site Javoedge.com? Don't remember. And in case anybodys wondering I do not work for Javoedge. (or know anybody who does)

I forgot to mention that I am using the Brando Book Style Case --- It seems to keep fuzzies off the screen pretty well and offer minimal protection. However, I my clie is so much more fun naked ;-)

i am currently using the martin fields screen protector and im pretty happy with it. it is so crystal clear and very durable, no scratches at all. although i have to agree a bit more pressure is needed for input. have to say that amongst all its the best i've used.

Don't put much hope in getting the dust off it by washing, won't work... only way that seems possible is with scotch tape.

Okay I have ordered a MFOP screen protector for my new TH55 as I was very impressed with the SE P900 version I use. When I received my TH55 today there was a notice that warned that using a credit card to remove bubbles when applying a screen protector could affect the digitiser. Anyone else seen this warning? I suppose I'll have to be very gentle when removing bubbles with a soft cloth.

I have the same problem with the Martin Fields protector -- poor recognition of characters and spikes across the screen when I draw on it. I emailed them and was told to check that the protector wasn't sticking under one edge of the screen, as this can disrupt the digitiser. Mine wasn't. It's a pity the protector doesn't work, as it's by far the clearest one I've seen.

I have a MF protector & whereas I did have some spoke problems initially, they soon disappeared. Now I have a screen that's as clear as the original but with screen protection as well.
When I didn't have a VG screen (before the TH55), I just put a protector on the graffiti area for that was the part that got the most wear & tear. At that time I used the Fellowes product but it was so hazy that I couldn't bear to put it on entire screen.
A good rule of thumb is to apply it gently to the screen. Once you get one edge of the protector stuck on the screen, don't pull on it or try to stretch it. Just gently lay it down on the screen. Of course, you need to make sure you are lined up perfectly so that none of the edges end up under the screen frame. But if you gently lay the protector down instead of 'stretching' it down, the spider spikes *should* be minimized. I hope that makes sense...
