how to do a warm reset

I heard someone mention a "warm reset" in a thread not too long ago. Something about restarting the palm in a safe mode. I searched but I couldn't find any info on this. not a soft reset or hard reset, a warm reset. How do I do a warm reset?

just hold the "up" scroll button...and then hit "reset" simultaneously...and when it restarts let go...it will reset...in safe mode....

also to do a hard reset you would hold the "power" button and then hit "reset" and then it will give you the option to "erase all data"

and just in case...a soft reset is just a regular reset by hitting the "reset button" alone

so you do a warm reset the same way as a hard reset except you push up instead of power button?

if you have a nx70 .... then the first thing you will notice is that your graffiti doesn't show up ...since it bypasses the loading of the graffiti...this is also a good way to delete skins if you don't have photoskin

Also remember, every warm reset should be followed with a normal soft reset after you have deleted the offending app or hack.

On my SJ30 you have to press "up" when you are doing a hard reset also.

Warm resets are very useful, it has prevented a few hard resets for me.

Also, since the graffiti area doesn't show up on hi-res+ devices, you can use the keyboard and hit Ctrl+H to get to the main launcher.
