View Full Version : Scrolling through many datebook appointments?

I have a lot of appointments on most days (more than fit on the screen), but the only way to scroll through them it seems is by tapping on the tiny arrows on the screen.

The jog dial and hw pageup/pagedown keys only seem to go from day to day. :/

I tried searching for a hack ... JogPageHack seems closest to the right idea, but it didn't seem to do anything in the Datebook application.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

Thx,
Doug

I use DateBk5, on the appointment view, and it scrolls through each appointment one by one using the jog dial.

Go to OPTIONS|VIEW DISPLAY OPTIONS
The item "Scroll time then day" determines what the jog dial does. If it is checked, then the jog dial will scroll through the appts and then after last appt will jump to the next day. If it is unchecked, jog dial will scroll day by day.

This confused me totally the last time I tried to change the setting. I think to get the checkbox you want, go to the Options menu, select "Preferences..." then hit the menu button again to bring up an option-menu-within-the-option-menu (who said DB5 was too complicated?;) ). From that menu select Advanced Settings, and that will bring you to a series of checkboxes, the first of which is "Jog/Navigator moves by screen." Checking that should do what you want.

Another option would be to go to view display options, then small or even tiny view.

How do you find this ??????? You are the best !!!!

Can i ask a another question ?
For a new task, it is possible to have always the date of the day ?
When I enter a new task (in the day view), I have always appear the screen (half spleet screnn) "task". Not necessary for me.
Have you a solution.

Sorry for my bad english....

Once more : Thanks a lot !!!

No problem. :)
I would only have known about that menu except from reading it on ClieSource. I had to look it up again recently because I forgot how to change that setting.

For your second question, if you want to make the items on the split screen part of your regular day screen, you can tap the down-arrow in the top left corner of the screen, and that should bring up a menu with the option "close window." I think that should fix it.
