Hi All,

I am wondering any of you clie expert can help me with my little problem. I have an NX70 and a friend of mine have IPAQ. We were testing infrared connection and he beam me a voice recording file. Since I don't have a MS, it is stored in the internal memory. I think the file format is not compatible with the PALM and IPAQ so I can't play it, but again every time I try to delete it, it will fail with an error message

Recording1: fail to delete the data

How can I delete the file? I don't want to do a hard reset because I have so many data already on my NX.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

It's not possible to store regular files, like the ones you woud get from a PPC in internal memory. The only files a Palm device will allow in internal memory are .PDB (Palm Database files) .PRC (Applications) .PQA .PNC and .SCP files. These are all special types that Palm recognizes. Any other file type must be stored on the Memory Stick.
So, I'm not really sure how you hae a file from a Ipaq in the internal memory, and I don't know of any way to remove it, other than hard reset.

Try locating the file in the Clie Files application and deleting from there....certain files will not delete from within the native programs (clie viewer will not delete anything created in clie memo even though you can view the images there) so that might be your best bet. I hope this helps.

If you can't delete it with Clie Files, try FileZ.

it is "freeware"

IMO, not terrific, but was able to do a few types of file manipulations I was unable to do without it.
