I get invalid handheld file evertime.

Might want to try redownloading it. I just tried it out and it worked fine on my Clie.

I still get this while hotsyncing to RAM and the same message if I put it on the card and try moving it to RAM.

Invalid handheld file deleted: C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\DR\Install\Homer.pdb

I see, I just left the files on the card and it has been working fine. I hadn't tried moving it to RAM.

How do you use skins from the card without moving them to RAM?

They just have to be in the /Palm/Programs/Wondersilk directory.

could you provide that background for me in bmp or jpeg form...i have an nx70 and i'm using megalauncher...so need it to be 320x480 so i can convert it

Are you talking about the background that comes with the skin? It is already in .JPG format in the .ZIP file.

Hmmm... Maybe I'm missing something. I have them there, but cannot see them with Kinu-maru.

here is from the instructions (I don't know what a WSB file is though:

If the skin file (WSB) created on the personal computer by using WonderMaker, it cannot be used by WonderSilk as is.
A WSB file has to be imported to CLIE Memory stick.

- Store a WSB file in "/PALM/PROGRAMS/WonderSilk/" of a Memory stick, and set it to CLIE.
- Start Kinu-maru.
- Perform "Skin Import..." from the Options menu.
- It becomes a skin import screen.
- Since WSB files are listed, choose a skin to import.
(A check box turns on. Two or more skinsare selectable.)
- Check "Compress" if needed.
(If it is checked, a picture will be compressed to make skin size smaller)
- Tap "Import" button.
- A WSB skin is changed into a PRC skin and imported to CLIE.

The .wbs file is the file that is included with the .zip of the skin.

Got it! Thanks for all your help cbulock:) I see gif files too and don't know what they are for.
