Screen protector stops whining?

Well, it started whining... ya all know the story - but how can this whining be stopped - will a screen protector help or maybe prayer?...

What do u guys say?

Anecdotal evidence is that a screen protector can reduce the whine but doesn't stop it. It makes sense too -- if nothing else, you add more mass that has to be vibrated.

Screen protector didn't help me when I first got the whine. That whine would stop though if I was pressing on the screen in the right place. My new whine isn't quite as bad as my old whine, but it won't stop even if I'm tapping the screen.
