Let yourself decide what you going to pay for..
even if the choice dun turn up well, you know u make ur own choice.
Choosing a PDA is getting sth that suits ur needs, if you are interested in a PDA with a better cam res.. wired remote, better performance processor(debatable), CF storage card compatibility etc.. then NX80 wld be a better choice than TH55.
but of cos TH55 has a advantage of smaller form factor, integrated Wifi and more memory, better battery life, new apps etc..

Definately, get whichever suits your needs. As an owner of both the TH55/E and NX80/V, I can tell you I didn't use the keyboard and 1.3MP camera as much as I thought I would after I bought the TH55. I don't even realize that it's not there, but that's was my needs. I needed Bluetooth and WiFi integrated rather than carrying the WL110 WiFi card and MSB1 Bluetooth card along with my NX80. Your needs may be different...check out some other threads as there are quite a few that have the pro and cons of both the TH55 & NX80.

There was a post here last night with Compusa selling the NX80 for $299 (intenet special).

I bought my NX80 shortly after the TH55 came out. For me the main deciding factor was the CF slot. Also, even though I use the camera infrequently, I still prefer having 1.3 mp for those times.

I also bought my NX80 after the TH55 came out. I wanted the built-in keyboard andt the better camera. I also am not interested in the Sony Handheld Engine. I've read several complaints about the overall speed of the TH55, while I have yet to find anything that will bog down my NX80.

I bought my NX80 after the TH came out. Mainly because it was $329. I like having the flexability of the CF slot, and the keyboard does come in handy occasionally. I would really have like integrated Wi-Fi, but since I already had a WL-100 (from when I bought my NX70 which I actually prefer the type of CF slot - just wish it had more RAM and Flash), it wasn't too much of a big deal. Plus the clamshell form factor acts like its own case.
If I relied more heavily on the Wi-Fi, then I might have gone for the TH55, but I do like the clamshell form factor and the CF slot. I guess whatever you think you'll need.
Cheers!

If you don't need the keyboard or CF slot, why carry a heavier PDA?
On the other hand, I won't buy a PDA without a keyboard. I use it all the time for jotting down to do list items, update contact lists, and to keep my schedule. I went from a T615 to an NR70 (then NX80), and of all those, the keyboard was the biggest change. And I think the NX-80 is STILL the best keyboard PDA on the market today.
I have used the camera more than I thought I would, but it's definitely an extra.
I've never been impressed with wifi on my CLIE (NX80), so I cannot consider it to be of high value even tho I own the CF card.
As always, YMMV.

Whem my T665C battery started giving out and I had a few unexpected extra bucks, I looked at the TH55 first, impressed by the battery life reports. But then saw that the nx80v was selling for a bit less, had good reports on battery, faster processor, better camera.. . .
But what did it for me was the screen. The nx80v screen is absolutely brilliant, particularly compared to the TH55. But even better than the T665c.
The clamshell has its pros and cons for me; sometimes I think it's in the way but I definitely like it better when carrying the PDA in my pocket (in a case) -- I'm much less concerned about cards and memory sticks stuffed in the case.
Final call tho was the screen, particularly when I found the nx80v wasn't really as heavy as I thought it would be.

I think it's the best "keyboard PDA also", even though the keyboard on the UX may be better.

I been aiming for a NX80 for a few months now... quite eager to get one. But I have to wait till i get a job during my school holidays to earn the extra buck for it.
I read up lots of reviews on NX80, i must sure say it's a great CLIE!
