View Full Version : Xircom wifi module for palm os handhelds

Does anyone know if this wifi adaptor will work with the Clie T & N series? It is supposed to work on the palm m500 series so I cannot see the reason why it would not work with a clie...

I don't think so as the connector pins wouldn't match up with the Clies. Plus the attached sled probably wouldn't match up with the physical dimensions of the Clies.

Who cares about the sled? SanDisk just announced an SD wifi w/ 128 MB.

What is Sony's problem that they won't open the CF slot to third party stuff.... this is utter crap.....

Why would they with all the sales they make from memory stick and I/O memory stick devices? The only reason they're using a CF wifi card is that they would get killed in the wireless networking market due to development time for wifi memory stick modules. So they throw in CF and cripple it. It would be nice to have full CF support, or possibly SD in the next models.

Since the Clie and the Palm have exactly the same ports on them ( the pins are different -> that's all) one could in theory modify an adaptor to work..hmm........<daydreaming>
