Dont say covert them, because my image converter cant create the MAI file and sony havent a clue.
Hi,
please do not worry - your problem is minor and may be fixed.
1) Delete completely everything off your memory stick.
You may transfer all contents from it to your hard disk
drive if there are valuable things on it.
2) Optional soft-reset of your UX is ok.
3) Always use image converter (this is a good idea for
efficient storage space)
4) WHen you delete your movies, always use delete from
the movie player. If you check the manual you will see
that each movie is associated with MQV and MAI files. In
principle if you delete both of those files manually, it
should be the same.
THis should help - let me know.

nope, doesnt work. was i meant to empty the internal media aswell, coz i copied the mem. stick to my c drive, then tried to convert a smal clip, but the image converter came up with the error, cannot create MAI file. It used to work , Dammit!
plze try and help:(
Doovydoo,
I am sorry this did not help.
Please make sure to completely erase the stick - this
can be done by connecting clie to PC (connect to USB,
run data import from Clie). WHen you see the stick in
"My computer" icon, delete everything from it.
Also, when you run image converter, make sure to
select "Output to memory stick" and then select the
same lettter corresponding to the memory stick.
THis really should work - I am not aware of this being
a problem, but I am just a little bit less of a novice than
you are.
If this does not work, please try new memory stick (just in
case). At that point, please hard reset Clie. If hard reset
and brand new stick do not work, you might have a
bigger problem.
I hope this helps.
