i just got my bran-new t665 and got lucky enough to get under their promo - a free $40CAN leather sony style case.
kinda wondering, for its typical use for you guys, what kind of cases do you prefer most? and i guess that's only for t665, because they're way more 'compact' (rather than the NR/NX series, judging from other posts).
i heard some people here cussing about the front flippy thingy. i dunno, without it, i wouldn't ever wanna put my clie into a pocket - it does a great job protecting the screen, as well as prevents occasional button pressing (i'm not a big fan of the hold button). it fits just perfectly in my jeans' pocket - if it were any 'bigger', it'd be uncomfortable. it gets like that when it's inside the sony style case, though. but i guess that's the idea - "case it when it's not in the pocket/cradle/drawer/etc". the downsides of the leather is that it's not an easy slide-in slip-out, and the hard buttons get pressed as you put clie inside. so you have to use 'hold'. that's alright, though, because if you're using the mp3 player, you'd want the screen off anyway. the ***pid part is that the case has all the perfect access to jog dial, but the 'hold' is not reachable from outside, so if you want to skip the song, or something, you'd have to slide the peo out a bit.
the thing though seems both soft and sturdy enough not to let anything happen to your clie once you drop it, or something. i mean, i didn't try it, but i certainly would feel MUCH less worried if i saw it fall while it was inside the case.
i don't mean to advertize it or anything , but i was just wondering what other people think of brand 'minor accessories', and what choices they make regarding the case issue, fitting their typical clie usage. i don't think i'd ever consider hard cases (i'm not gonna throw the toy against walls, or sit on it) - is that extra weight and 'bulkiness' worth it?
