I have been having battery drain issues recently (UX50) where the battery drains much faster than normal, well today I noticed that the memory stick access light keep blinking about once every 8 seconds or so even when the unit is off? This would seem to be the cause of my battery drain while the unit is off. I'm not sure what app is doing it, but I was wondering if this is normal? does your light blink when the unit is off?

Are you using any 3rd party backup programs or alarm programs?
Maybe scheduled alarms or backups are the cause.

I dont use either of those, I use the world clock app that comes with the clie once in a blue moon, i went in and checked and all the alarms are off. Plus that app is in internal mem, not memory stick. weird...

I should pay closer attention, but I believe mine was doing that when I left BT enabled. Once I disabled it, it stopped.

My UX seemed to lose battery juice when not in use much faster when I got a memstick, though I can't say I noticed the light blinking. Not that I making a scientific observation or anything.

I have my bluetooth on always, and no flashing light on my memory stick indicator. Might be the last palm program you installed?

My MS light flickers from time to time. No battery problem, and the MS light only flickers a few times a day - maybe a keep alive type system check? It sounds like a third party app that is waking up and checking the system for something.
Good Luck!
