Just enable IR communication in your phone and align the IR ports! Are you GPRS enabled? Create a connection for pr on your NX70V and you're ready to go!

I have the same setup.  Another option is to buy a $50 cable from SupplyNet (http://www.thesupplynet.com) which will also get you connected.  Not as convenient as the IR connection, but probably faster and more stable.

I want an 8890 with bluetooth; two friends of mine of T68's, one of them gave up on it because of poor RF reception (not a problem in the developed world, but in the US it matters) and the other is frustrated with it *crashing* all the time (you'd think it ran windows or something.)

But there isn't an 8890 with bluetooth, or even any "new" phone with slide-over-keyboard styling. Anyone tried a P800 yet?

I had a real problem with the RF reception with the T68i in my area (L.A.) with T-Mobile. Also, found that RF would fluctuate from one bar to two bar to three bar and back while standing in one spot (meanwhile using a Nokia on the same Cingular Network, the reception was rock steady at three bar (T-Mobile was borrowing the Cingular network in that area). Navigation thru the T68i menu system was really confusing. Returned it to Amazon within a couple of days.

Still looking for a good bluetooth enabled phone...any suggestions?

I want to dial a phone number just buy clicking on my NX70V.
It is a basic function in Palm Tungten or with the NX 73, not on mine.
Some are saying that I could use PHONELINK but I didn't try yet.

Do you have test it ? It would be nice for me (and my Jabar earset).

Regards.

The Ericsson T610 is very good - the BT implementation is much improved on the old T68i, the screen is great, camera good, triband, etc. But if you don't like Ericsson graphical menus you'll not like this...

The Nokia 6310i is competent, but I don't personally like the size/styling.

The Siemens S55 is very nice too, small, nice styling, but again it has graphical menus, so.... Also, the connection to a BT headset is a real pain - if you bring up a number on the phone and hit the 'connect' button, it doesn't route it through to the headset. It'll only allow you to voicedial. I guess it's a safety measure, to stop you using the phone whilst driving.

(yes, I get through almost as many phones as PDAs...) :D
