I have a friend who just bought a TH55. I was showing her how to use it and brought up the Info information. To my surprise I noticed two things:

1) The version of all the Clie Organizer apps were not version 1.0 but version 1.01.

2) All 32 MB of RAM were not free - although I can't remember how much was missing (it was over a MB, though).

Clearly this means that Sony is releasing newer TH55s with updated CO apps but does it mean that once she needs to do a hard reset she'll lose these updates?

I simply can't recall if I had all 32 MB of RAM available to me when I first got my unit and I'm unwilling to do a hard reset to find out...

Anyone else have updated apps?

Yes, mine was, too, bought it in europe some days ago.
I think the data which is in RAM is rewritten after a hardreset automatically.

The default example pictures, balloons, boy and girl, and mountain are reinstalled to RAM after a hard reset. I reckon Sony would have the same thing happening with the Clie Organizer updates.

There is a way to get rid of the default photos in the CO so that they don't keep coming back. If you do a search on this forum, it is explained. Essentially, you have to delete them from the Clie, then go into the back up folders on your computer and delete them from there as well. I did that, and I haven't seen them in a long time.

Do a hard reset and then welcome them back...
