Ok, I know this has probably been posted a lot here..but...

What is the point of the CF slot? If it is only for Wi Fi then why didn't Sony include Wi Fi in the device itself? Is this because they want you to buy the $150 802.11b card?

And what would Sony lose by making the CF slot compatiable with all CF cards? If anything it would just boost the appeal of there handhelds. Can the old HandEra's with CF slots work with any type of CF card? If so, why can't Sony?

Sony is a great company but lately they have been acting greedy and slightly stupid. Get back on track Sony! Samsung and all the others will beat you if you don't treat your customers well.

(Maybe they will listen to that warning ;) )

Well, if your in Japan, the CF slot is much cooler. It can run cards for their PHS wireless network, and also do Analog Modems and I think GPS. I guess in America, we didn't get as lucky.

There is an old saying in Chinese -- Never flood **** into neighbors' field. Well, let me explane this a little bit. In ancient China, farmers use compost as the fertilizer to grow foods. And the compost was made of human's **** and animal's ****. The best way to prevent neighbors to get better harvest is not to let out the fertilizers (****). Fitting it in the morden business is that SONY will not allow other companies to gain any profit from the products they made. Expecailly, those business which may hurt or make them lose huge money.
SONY is feeling the pressure now. They know the trend which is not they can prevent. Their policy is to open their MS technology to let more an more manufacturers to make MS cards. Some day (may be not in a year or two) when the price of MS is the same or even lower than CF, until then may be they will have a new OS7 or OS8 to fully support all sorts of CF cards.:o

I e-mailed someone at Sony with a nasty letter on this subject a few days ago. No response yet.
