Do you think there'd be a pricedrop soon? Seeing how the Zire 72 came out with a better camera and voice recording. I missed the officedepot's rebate sale... TT.TT my mom is against internet buying... and there isnt an office depot close enough...
I'd say sometime in the summer? julyish? plus OS6 is coming out too?
any thoughts would help!
(sony did lower the PS2 price too...)

I can't help you with your Mom, you just have to show her the savings of shopping online. I got my TJ-37 for less then $250 NIB from a retailer. The 72 isn't that much better, frankly it's down right ugly IMHO. I doubt there will be a price chainge any time soon.

There is a possiblity that that will happen, but that possiblity will become lower because of the high percentage of people that buy online. If the vender your buying from offers encryption and has some kind of privacy program thingy, your fine. Stores rarely have lower prices. They usually sell things at the manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP). If you go online however, you'll find prices that are about $40 - $X lower than the retail price. Tell your mom that internet buying does have it's risks, but the probablility of having a problem is very low if you find the right internet store. TIP: You MUST look at the stores policy on returning items and stuff. I made the mistake of not looking.

Hope this helps!

PS - Do not even consider the Zire72. It's more expensive, it has BLUETOOTH (which is slower than WiFi and connecting to a BLUETOOTH enabled phone and surfing is quite expensive) instead of WiFi, looks like a kids toy (I doubt you wan't to look like a kid, even though you probably are :) Better to look professional), camera isn't all that better (camera area bulges out, plus there is no camera cover), etc. You can buy it, I'm not stopping you, but if you are, you should reconsider.

Another coment regaurding CC theft, In the past ten years many more CC#'s have been stolled and misused by dishonest workerd at restaurants, local stores, and malls than through internet shopping. internet shopping got a bad wrap becaust the theifs used the internet to buy stuff with stollen CC#'s
