The idea is this:

I would like to connect a TH55 o my laptop (via cable or BT dongle) and then use the wifi capability of the TH55 to access the internet and surf/email FROM MY LAPTOP.

Can this be done? If so I can save buying a wifi card for my laptop and put the money towards changing from my NX73VE to the TH55!

Seems unneccessary. Why not just get a WiFi card for your laptop and eliminate the middleman (TH55)?

Of course it's unnecessary.

I believe his point was to "save buying a wifi card for my laptop and put the money towards changing from my NX73VE to the TH55!"

Lets face it, most of the best stuff on our PDAs are unnecessary.

Plus you can't use Bluetooth while using WiFi, so if it even were possible, it would have to be a cable, plus I think it would be slow and awkward.

What do I need BT for?? I mean, if its connected by docking cable, you do not need bt.

theoretically it seems possible, but you need to write some kind of "internet connection sharing" program to your clie, so you can share the connection with other devices.

Thanks Golalmo that's what I thought! I need to find other "excuses" to part with 400 Euros! Unless someone reading this decides to write a bit of Freeware code.....

Incidently can somebody answer this: With my NX73V, when I want to say pick up my email, the NX needs to connect to my bluetooth access point (i.e screen say connecting - authorising - established...). With the TH55 wifi, is the connection always on as soon as the unit is switched on or does it need to be established every time it is needed?
