Hotsync ID

may I ask a question?
Can I use the same Hotsync ID for my Sony Clie TH55 and UX50?
Is there something to care about?

Floodguy,

Yes there IS something to care about here. If you have different software installed on each machine, or if there are settings that are backed up that might be machine specific (which in the case of the TH55 and UX50 there almost certainly WOULD be), you will be asking for trouble.

I have two TH55's, and I have cloned the memory on them and I use the same Hotsync ID for both of them - but I wouldn't do this if I had 2 different types of machines. I can only get away with this because they are both TH55's, with identical software installed.

Yep. He ain't lyin'!
I would append a number or something like that to the end of one of the units' HotSync ID's to avoid any strange behavior.
