There is design fault with SJ33 according to the technical supports of Sony HK. The IR Hotsync does not work.

Only when you connect it with power supply, you can use IR hotsync, there is not solution yet. Awaiting the factory to resolve. Sony may get back all the SJ33 from the market.

I bought it already, I got the same problem with mine SJ33. How about you?

I've had my SJ-33 for only 5 short days but I cannot believe the difference from my trusty ole Visor Platinum. The vivid colour and hi-res screen is the first to impress you. The next thing to impress you is the Dragonball Z-66 processor. I have noticed a considerable increase in speed during various applications and during hot-sync's. As for the its thickness, it's not an issue with me, since I had a visor that seemed it was just as thick. In fact I use the Visor's leather slip case to carry it around. I was hesitant to purchase the SJ-33 due to it being plastic and its translucent flip cover, thinking I would need a metal PDA, I was wrong. In fact the flip cover is great. It flips out of the way when you are using the SJ-33 (kind of like the early Mortorola flip phones) and it protects your screen when your not using it. IT is however a SMUDGE MAGNET! I really think a ribbed cover and/or sides (like the Visor Neo) would have reduced smudging. The stylus is on the tiny side. But overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're looking to upgrade and want colour, and a faster processor, and a MP3 player to boot but don't want to go OS5 route then the SJ-33 is for you. The price is reasonable too!

OMG the SJ33 is so damn sexy. I just got mine today... I'm used to seeing silver handhelds all the time but the SJ33.... it looks so unique.

I have to admit: the SJ33 looks sexy but once you touch it you'll realize that it's a grease magnet.

Played with one at CompUSA today. The jog dial and buttons on the left side seem to be too recessed. Otherwise, it's a nice little handheld.
