Any suggestions for my TH-55?

Hello,

I love my Clie TH-55 and I really like having the mirror like"flip cover" well, I usually keep my Clie in my pocket without much of a problem. Over the weekend I discovered that the outside of the mirror cover was all scratch up. Something else in my pocket must have scratched it up.

I hate having it scratched up and would like a replacement cover but Sony doesn't really offer any replacements for it unless I send it in to them for a hefty charge and it would cost me time without my TH-55.

Can anyone make suggestions as to how I can maybe aquire a new one? Maybe someone has a new "non-scratched" one they can sell me. Or maybe someone may know of something I can use to polish off the scratches on the surface of the flip cover. This may all be a little silly but I like keeping my Clie and other belongings as new as possible.

Erm...do a search for the cover on this forum...there are numerous third party options that won't require you to be away from your Clie!

I think that the other third party covers I saw were going for about $35...I plan on buying a couple in case they are impossible to find in the coming years.

GlobalSource has flip covers in several colors for $19.99. Just reporting, haven't tried them myself.

Does any Sony or after market leather flip cover exist for the TH-55?
I wished the mirror cover would flip back all the way (touching the back of the unit).

Hi,

after I bought my Clie TH55 (and the one for my wife), the next day I went back to the shop bought two screen protectors (Sony) for the main screen, and a bigger protection sheet from which I made two protectors for the flip cover (I had removed the protection film from cover by accident). That keeps the flipcover protected from the outside. But I discovered, that the flip cover also gets tiny scratches from the inside, at the half of the flipcover's size and of course at lower part were these black "bumpers" are. :(
On thing is clear, if you use your Clie (and other gadgets too)daily, you can't prevent scratches.
