I've read some of the threads here and several people have offered to make copies of their SJ22 install CD. Well, I've mis-placed mine and am hoping that someone will once again offer to copy theirs and send it to me.
I of course will pay for shipping and expenses, just let me know.
Thanks, Ken

Thanks, but that site only gives updates....not the full install. Unfortunately, I need the full install. I have a new PC that I need to install it on.

From where did you find it?

Presumably somewhere in his stack of well-organized CD's. It's always much easier to post a request for someone else to do some work that do it yourself.

Ah Mr. Cooke. Thats what I like so much about this forum, the warm and friendly feeling one gets from his fellow PDA'ers. I do detect a bit of sarcasm in your post.
They say that people take on a different persona when on line, I wouldn't dream of trying to dissect yours, please don't try to shed light on mine.
It may be easier to ask for help without exhausting all other possibilities, but it's also true that is easier to make a disparaging remark, when no remark was required.
Thank you for making my on line experience so pleasant.

I guess I must have been right then, eh? Those CD organizer boxes they sell at Staples makes it a lot easier to know where all your CD's are.
Life is hard when you have thin skin.

My first thought to was lash out with a not-so-eloquent response full of vulgarities. Instead, I looked back through some of your replies in other posts. Not surprisingly, many of them had the same condescending odor of the one that appeared here.
If we lesser people annoy you so much, why do you even post here? I've dealt with people like you all my life, nothing to do but be-little others to make up for some other short coming in your past or present.
Well take another shot, sounds like you need the self-esteem boost for today. I won't be back. Looks like you'll have to find some other poor soul with thin skin. Maybe you'll find some terminally ill child to tell that Santa doesn't exist or better yet, you might get lucky and run over some puppy on the way home tonight.

Bumpus, since you won't be back here, I guess this is a waste of time but you did a pretty good job of lashing out for a guy who said he wasn't going to do that.
You've posted here a grand total of 5 times. I've posted 318 times. I'm glad you think you can characterize my responses - it must have taken you along time to read all 318 posts.
You posted here because you misplaced your CD. This indicates you don't have a very good system for storing your CD's. Therefore, you posted a message to have someone go out of their way to get you a copy of the CD. You then found your CD, something you could have done with about the same effort as posting here. It's not lesser people that annoy me, it's lazy and disorganized people who annoy me. You could have done just what I've suggested to many posters, including the following posters in this thread. Search for a user named cerberus. He has an FTP site that has virtually all the Clie CD's. A simple e-mail to him would have solved your problem if you couldn't find your CD. That makes you lazy. Since you finally found your CD, that makes you disorganized.
Sorry that the truth hurts. I'm sure you can find some other place that allows to have all the personality defects you want and no one will ever comment on them. Unfortunately for you, this is the internet, where that's not likely to happen. A church social might be a good place to start.
Since I haven't driven tonight, all the puppies are safe. I'll certainly keep my eye out for one when I'm driving next to see if I can't raise my self-esteem.

Jim,
Maybe you're right and that Bumpus is a bit lazy, who knows? Or maybe he is just not as organized as you are?
24 hours after his last request he had found the cd and actually came back to the forum to say so. This speaks in favour of disorganized-but-not-lazy. And since when is being disorganized such a sin?
But we can speculate about all this forever and still not know, so my question to you is rather what you think that you contribute with your initial remark ?

1. He didn't say he found his own CD - he just said "he found it", leading to the following poster asking him if that meant he found a place to download it.
2. As Bumpus wrote, "It may be easier to ask for help without exhausting all other possibilities", admitting to my assumption posted tongue in cheek earlier.
3. This is the internet. I'm not his buddy. There are hundreds of messages posted here about wanting CD's with answers how to get them. If you choose not to search, not read messages, not look for your own CD before asking someone else to take the time to send you one, then it's likely that you may get a response like I posted. Let's call it a learning experience.
4. At least I never accused him of wanting to run over small puppies.:)
