I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could possibly get two or three SanDisk or Sony 128MB Memory Sticks for a combined price of $170 or less. I've heard there are some problems with Lexar cards, so I want to try to avoid them. I want to use them for MP3 playback, eBooks, and other personal files. I'd appreicate any help possible. Thank you!

Costco had Sandisk 128's on the shelf today for 49.95. Not a bad price.

I don't know if this is the cheapest price going, but though that I would let you know.

128 mb Lexar memory stick $59.95 - $20.00 mail in rebate = $39.95.

I have not tried this deal, but its listed right there on Amazons page. Here's a link.

I've had a couple weird instances with my Lexar memory stick. I took it out, then put it back in. The card info screen read that I had used about half the stick, which is correct, but then when I went I ran a program such as MS Gate, there was nothing on the memory stick anymore! So I took it out again and put it in again. And, it was fine. Secondly, there was another instance when I put the same stick back in and it informed me that the stick could not be read and that I should format it. I took the stick out and put it back in, and it was fine again...

Is this the "bad side" of Lexar sticks? Or was it just some software bug...?

Stick in with another MS and see if the problem repeats, then you know which one is the culprit. To me it sounds like your Clie has problem reading MS since if the MS is the problem, it usually consistent. But then again dealing with Lexar, that is a toss up. I had 2 Lexar MSs that were not even reading at all. Had them returned to Dell, which gave me a full refund including free return shipping since they are genuine duds.

There is design fault with SJ33 according to the technical supports of Sony HK. The IR Hotsync does not work.

Only when you connect it with power supply, you can use IR hotsync, there is not solution yet. Awaiting the factory to resolve. Sony may get back all the SJ33 from the market.

I bought it already, I got the same problem with mine SJ33. How about you?

me's using one "transparent" lexar 128 without any problems or to say the truth without more problems than with my others from sony;

i did encounter hangs with msinport (filetransfer via explorer) with all of them; usually I just end the connection, put out the clie from the cradle; place it back in and have no further problems afterwards

Some of MSImport problems could be due to overclocking the system. Do you use FastCPU or AfterBurner?
