I have read a lot of threads on this subject and followed the advice to get the PIM data from my PC to my NX80V (my NX70V was stolen). Now I want to migrate all of my registered software to my NX80V. I am starting with one to ensure I have the process right. Bejeweled for example. I copied the .prc to the install folder and synched and it's the un-registered version. I deleted it from my Clie, copied the .prc to the backup folder and did a desktop overwrites the Clie and synched. Same thing - unregistered version. I may have 80% of the registration codes in e-mails, but there's got to be a better way. HELP. Thanks.

Gary

I know this is somewhat unrelated, but find and install files which can enable you to use G1 on your NX80. I did so on the same day that I received my NX80 (as in yesterday).

For the other software, you will probably have to contact the developers and explain your circumstances. I know that I will need to about Nesem and Gizmo. Otherwise, that's $30 down the drain for me.

The only other option for you is to find a program which I have heard mention of that may fix some of your unregistered programs so that they are registered. Look around for a file (not at ClieSource) called PalmPass, I believe.

Graffiti 1.

It's the writing system that you're used to. Try drawing a "T" with your NX70-acquired method and you'lll understand what I'm talking about.

Palm had to replace it with Graffiti 2 because Xerox (I think) had a weak patent on a single-stroke handwriting system. However, they accidentally left a backdoor open which enables users of some devices to downgrade.

YES, I know what you mean - I thought I was going crazy !! Do you know if it's the "Graffiti_ShortCuts___.PRC" file ? This is the file that is in my NX70V Backup folder.

Thanks.

no. I am talking about the following files (which I doubt you have):

Graffiti Library.prc
Graffiti Library_enUS.prc

send me a PM with your email and I'll help you out a little bit more

I forgot to mention...Soft Reset (just push the reset button) when you are done.
