i've been searching forever for sites that let me download flash for my clie. i wanted to download movie trailers, maybe, or games or something...anything to get some use out of my flash player! I know how to use the player and everything, i just don't know what to play on it, or where to get it from except for games from miniclip.com

There isnt much content for flash player that is available - maybe because of its programming limitations (as opposed to the 3D deity engine - used by master theif demo). There are a few games but I couldnt get them to play and i gave up quite easily. As far as movie trailers etc. - MPEGs are definetly better for a variety of reasons. Firstly they are originally in that format so the conversion is easier and secondly again the possible limitations. Try some of the more popular sites like www.freewarepalm.com - www.tucows.com - www.palmgear.com etc. You may just get something there ... :)

Actually, if you're a little crafty, you can harvest flash content from any site you visit on the web--even if not offered as a download. Here's how:
1. Using IE, go to a page with a Flash file you want to keep, and allow the Flash movie to play all the way through.
2. In IE, open the View pulldown menu and select Source,
3. In the window that pops up, pull down the Edit menu and select Find, type in "swf" (omit the quotation marks),
4. Find a file with the .swf suffic that sounds like the content you just watched and remember its name (i.e., "goofy.swf"),
5. Close the Source pop-up window. The only window open now should be your IE.
6. Now hit the Back button in iE, causing you to back up one page.
7. Open Start>Search>For Files or Folders. In the window that pops up, select All Files and Folders.
8. Type in the name of the Flash file you're looking for (i.e., "goofy.swf).
9. Once the file is found, right mouse click, select Copy, and then paste it anywhere on your PC you like. You might want to rename the file to make it easier to find later.
10. Use your normal method to get that content on to your Clie. (I use MS Export/MS Import, and keep them on my MemoryStick.)
11. You can now play those files on your Clile. (Note: If you're not hearing any sound, make sure you go to the Sony Clie support pages at sonystyle.com and download the latest rev of Flash Player for your model Clie.)

There are so many sites with terrific Flash content. Some of my favorites are:
http://www.markfiore.com/
http://www.joecartoon.com
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/

Cheers!

That's a neat trick. I did find a site though where you can download flash movie trailers: http://www.ultimatedvd.org/en/index.aspx
just incase anyone was interested. now i just have to figure out how to convert .mov to .swf. i'm sure i'll find the answer with a quick search on this site. I'm definitly going to have to try that "hacking" trick. I have tried doing that on quicktime before, but it didn't work, and i didn't know exactly how it would work, i just figured if there was a .swf file in the source code i'd find it. we'll see what i come up with...
