Clie Web Browser

I have a NX70v and I am probably going to be getting either a compact flash modem (and use the drivers made by someone here on cliesource -> http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83) or get a cable the will hook up my clie to my cell phone (www.thesupplynet.com) to browse the internet and check email. The only problem (correct me if I am wrong) is that the browser that came on the clie software disk (netfront) came as a self installer .exe file which means I couldnÕt use it on my ibook.(10.2.4) . Is there either another way to install netfront that I have missed or what is a internet browser that I could install and use on my NX?

I haven't tried this, but if you drop it on stuffit expander, my bet it it will unstuff. all this is a self extracting archive that manifests as a PC executable (.exe).

Actually, NetFront isn't an exe, it's a normal Palm app and you don't need a PC to get to it. I installed it a few days ago from a Mac. Only thing to beware of it you need 6+MB free on the device to installit despite the fact that the app itself is only a bit over 2.

Just as an option, eudora offers a good email client and fast web browser.

I use SnapperMail for email which is excellent - supports attachments and all and will work with the new QuickOffice 7.0 public beta which can open native doc from your Palm device, though the web site tells me the Mac version is still in the pipeline (the woes of being a Mac owner huh?) I also use Xiino web browser which used a proxi server of some sort and renders pages readable on a small screen. You can download pictures, apps and all sorts with it, and set pages to download automatically when you want to. It's very quick and doesn't take much room. Personally I have been MOST satisfied with both SnapperMail and Xiino!
