1) Vibrate - hardware upgrade, not gonna happen
2) Bluetooth AND Wifi at the same time - same as above, I think
3) Cellular phone MemoryStick or Voice Over IP application
4) Landscape mode
One of the more frequent ways I use my TH55 is to use PTunes to stream in a radio station that I listen to with headphones in my house. I get very good battery life and I've had no buffering issues.
Other than those, I give it a 10 out of 10, and I should know:
Palm Professional -> Palm IIIc -> Palm m505 -> Sony Clie NR70V -> Palm Tungsten C -> Sony Clie TH55
By the way, I still have the Tungsten C if anyone is interested.
Also, I have:
1) PEGA-KB100 keyboard
2) PEGA-GC10 game controller
3) Data cable from TH55 to LG VX6000 - I use the Verizon Wireless service of the phone to surf on the TH55

Voice Over IP would be cool, and it just takes a developer to come out with a Palm app to handle it. Skype (http://www.skype.com/) has already made a PPC version of it's Voice Over IP software, and all it would take is making a Palm version...
As for a Clie phone, there is no restriction between them and SonyEricsson, according to THIS (http://brighthand.com/article/My_Dinner_with_Sony ) dinner/interview between Ed from Brighthand and Sony's big guys from the handheld division.
Of course, it would be up to Sony or a 3rd party to make the cellular MS a reality. ;)

How do you have both? Does the European version have both Wifi and Bluetooth??
It would be sweet to use a wireless headphone while listening to streaming audio.
How dweebie is that!

Yep. The European TH55 have BT and WiFi. There is a company selling European models in North America... www.expansys-usa.com for about $90 more than the US version...

russlb,
As far as anyone can determine, the Bluetooth in the TH55 does not yet support wireless headphones - no driver software yet. Sorry to burst your bubble.
If anyone knows of a wireless headphone driver that DOES work on the TH55, please let us all know - this is something I am also interested in! :D
Best wishes,

Wow you've owned a lot of PDA's (see below) :D
The bluetooth thing still has me puzzled, as to why the brits get it and we don't. I wouldn't really care for a phone stick though, it seems like just another way to piss my battery away.

hmm, what for? right now, i guess, no reason
but i guess it would be cool if palm support multitasking, listening to mp3 wirelessly *bluetooth but it REALLY need better data flow* and browsing @ the same time :)
about bluetooth data rate, am not too sure but i have a bluetooth headset hbh-35 and i've paired it with my powerbook to be my little earphone, the sound is totally crappy, not sure why

wolwol...
That's what I do now...
I listen to mp3's using pTunes, and surf the web wirelessly, using WiFi.
I really have no need for BlueTooth... just having not having all the bells and whistles.

I don't think that the whloe Bluetooth thing should be such a mystery. The US has a utilization rate for Bluetooth enabled, cellular handsets (of all different standards combined) of about 1% (in Europe where GSM is prevelant the number is much, much higher). Simple business school logic tells you that it doesn't make much economic sense to provide a feature that so small a number of customers will use. I know that this totally stinks if you are somewhere with a bluetooth enabled phone, but it comes down to economics.
As for me, when I get my TH55, I will be using a cable to connect to my cellular wireless web account for my on the go needs. Its the only solution for me with where I live and the job that I do. The great thing about any Palm device is the flexibility.
Cheers!
