Do anyone know of software/drivers to work with the Sony wireless lan card to find other available hotspots. The drivers that come with the card require you to specify the SSID and channel - it cannot find it itself

I just got the wifi card and haven't used it yet (take it all with a grain of salt) but I remember somewhere saying that you should set it to Auto for those things.

Yes!

Auto

WEP=none

SSID=any

Don't know when it will be available but heard from boingo.com that they have one in development now.

Actually, if you set it to auto, it seems to work pretty well, as Larry says. In fact, when I first got mine, I had a lot of trouble figuring out what my settings should be. Finally just went to auto and everything is working fine.
