Extended warranty from local vendors

Hi all!
I am new here and this is a great forum. I was wondering if someone could help me in finding if any local vendors would offer an extended warranty on th SONY Clies?

I know Circuit City offers an extended warranty (2 years) & sells Sonys. Last time I checked the same was true for CompUSA. Best Buy doesn't sell Sonys but has an extended 2 year warranty.

Prices vary from store to store.

I agree, but they say they I have to bue the Clie from them. I already bought it from some other source. :(

I think CompUSA (may depend on location) sells extended warranty even if you don't purchase from them as long as they sell the same product and your product is free of defect (and maybe within 30 days of your purchase). Their PDA extended warranty is quite expensive because it's one time replacement that covers user errors like running it over with your car, fire, theft, etc. :) Make sure you call them and ask if you can purchase the warranty. I was able to buy my iPod from Dell and buy the warranty from CompUSA. Your results may vary.
