My T615C just died and Best By has upgraded me to the NX60. So far I am very pleased with new toy. But I am thinking of spending an extra $100 to upgrade to the NX70v. Looking for opinions and funfactor that you are having with the camera. I guess that my concern is the low pixal resolution limiting the camera to occasional fun snapshots. Do think the upgrade is worthwhile, are you having fun with it and what is your impressions of the image quality that you are getting with it?
Thanks

Oh, I am having tons of fun! The camera is not of pro quality, but in decent light and using it for, let's say, sending an email or something, it's not bad. It does NOT replace a full blown camera, but it is fun to play with!

Definately lower resolution (640X480), and the quality is "OK". But it's not designed to make kodak-paper prints from. It does a great job for quick and easy snapshots (and video!) when you need it. I am glad I put the extra $ down for it...certainly worth it. I love taking pics of people and adding them to my address book, taking pics and sending them instantly via email (with my WiFi card). It's truely worth the extra $ IMO.

$100 more for the MS Camera (100,000) or +100 more for a 300,000 pixel camera.
Definitely FUN BUT fits my need for WEB pix.
Movie feature... neat!

all in one PDA
the camera was one of my main reasons why i chose to buy a Clie over the PocketPC's.

I love the camera and video camera feature. While looking for some favors for a banquet, I took video of different products and then showed it to the others invloved to decided on.
I've also taken pictures of products to compare prices with other places.
A personal favorite is getting pictures of people i met and then adding them to my address book instantly.
Worth the money in my opinion.

Got to go for the camera - I took mine furniture shopping last weekend and it was invaluable for making decisions after you see a billion sofas - to keep them all straight - plus it is just fun to be able to take pixs and you will never know when you will need it
spend the extra $!!!

I agree, the camera is definitely worth it. I actually thought the camera on the NR was worth the extra, just for the convenience, and the NX camera has 4 times the resolution!!

Nx70v camera is of course fun but still very good for the ease of use...

I am a Grad student and I find it useful to take pictures of the overheads and slides that some professors use in their classroom presentations especially when they go too fast for me to keep up with notetaking. The resolution of the nx is great for this purpose.
I definately stick by my decision of getting a NX70V instead of a NX60. The shots are only 640x480 and dont look the sharpest on a PC (unless you get really good conditions, even then it isnt great) but the camera pics do look a lot better on the actual unit. I've kept about 15 or the 40+ photos i've taken. The camera is best for moments when u want to take a shot quickly, anytime. I'd suggest trying in out in a store.

You can always replace that $100, but you can never retrofit your $500 PDA with a built-in camera. Go for it!

Yeah, I'd upgrade...I especially like the video feature, I use it more than I use the still camera....it seems to me that the dpi on the clie must be a bit higher than 96...because when I play movies on my computer, they play at twice the size they do on the clie, and the player is set to "normal" size. I dunno though.

I've caught lots of moments with the Clie camera that would otherwise have been missed due to the fact that I don't carry my 2 megapixel in my pocket. The movie feature is also outstanding. Granted the quality is not earthshattering, but given the choice between low quality pic for a laugh or to remember a moment vs none, I'll go with the former every time :) .
