View Full Version : Does anyone else's clie do this?

Alright, I am not running any sort of launcher hack or program, straight palm launcher.

When I view my Memo list in Memo pad with the graffiti area hidden, then open the graffiti area, then close the graffiti area, all my memo's dissapear. I have to change it from 'all' to 'unfiled' and then back to 'all' for them to show up. If I just open and close the graffiti area again I get a fatal error and it soft boots.

Anyone know whats causing this...its not really a problem, but just a curiousity.

Sorry, no problem here and I have no clue at the moment why your Clie is unstable. What you describe isn't normal for my NX.

Haven't tried it yet, but it's covered by the Clié SDK I think... when using the VG, you must re-init every list-object on vg change

No must be a problem with yoru software maybe? Maybe try doing a hard reset might do ya good.....

Yes, I have this problem too. I learned to get used to it, or toggle categories to get your memos back.

I've just tried, and yes, I have this problem. I have my NX since 3 month yet, and that's the first bug I've found

There was a thread about this, I think before the crash, it seems to be a known bug in MemoPad.

No, there is not a solution I'm aware of, but at the same time, the problem isn't bad enough where data is being lost or anything, it's just kind of annoying.

Erik FWIW - I see three conditions

1. If there is over a page of memo entries opening and collapsing the VG area has no effect.
2. If there are enough memo entries to fill only the top half of the screen (the part above where the VG expands to), then you get the "blank memo list" effect.
3. If there are enough memo entries such that the number entries falls between conditions 1 and 2, then you get a data error, and need to soft reset.

This is on a brand new (arrived this morning) NX70V with only default software, and a copy of DateBk5.0b (registered) loaded, and is easy to reproduce.

Can someone else test this scenario out as well - this sort of information helps define bugs better.

Not sure about 2 or 3, but for me 1 is true. I have a set amount od docs that is more then the collapsing area, and the error occurs.
