Hello all,

Ive got a NX70V with a Bluetooth MS Card, and wanting to hook up to the net to do all the usual stuff.

I was just wondering. What would be a faster connection?

1. Dialup connection to my ISP via Bluetooth

2. GPRS connection to my ISP via Bluetooth

It probably depends on the ISP/Phone carrier but lets say for argument sake, that is removed from this discussion.

I'm not sure what cellular network they use in Australia, but I think the fastest transfer you can get with GSM 900/1800 in the UK is about 28,800 bps. And depending on signal, generally less than that!

I believe GPRS is faster than this, but possibly more expensive.

On T-Mobile in the US, dial-up is limited to 9600bps. GPRS is advertised at 56k, but your real throughput will probably be closer to 28.8k. Definitely go GPRS, especially if costs are the same or GPRS is cheaper.
