Check points on your new NZ

Any recommended procedures / check-points when I am going to collect my NZ tomorrow? I reckon two items:
1. dead spot on display
2. battery charge count

Appreciate any suggestions from existing users. ;-)

check battery door. both of my units has a gap in the middle when closed. looks warped. but I guess thats normal being that the display unit is like that.

Just collect my NZ this evening. No dead spot but the battery door does has a small gap at one end when it is closed.
