newbie question re anti virus

Hi, I am a new clie user (from m500) though my wife loves her clie. I have upgraded to the beautiful TH55.

Now that I can surf via WiFi, do I need anti virus software for my clie?

I woudn't lose much sleep over this issue. There have been a few viruses for PalmOS over the years, but they are very rare. You can get some info on them at http://www.f-secure.com/ if you are interested. In any case, Netfront asks for confirmation before running a downloaded app, so as long as you're expecting what pops up, you should be fine.

Biggest scam ever regarding PDA's IMO is the sale & marketing of anti-virus software for PDA's.

They must think a lot of Palm users are REALLY stupid, and/or gullible. :mad:

I agree with all the other posters. There has been no virus to date that I know of that has affected Palm PDAs.

Now the Windows on the PC, that's another matter...

Yes I used LauncherX on my m500 very happily. I am trying to give the CO a chance first before I decide on whether to revert to LauncheX

Killer App? Now that's a tough call. I suppose Fonts4OS5 is as close to that as any, since it benefits most every app. The rest probably depends on what you use your PDA for. My own favorites amount to:
