Charging Cradle Problems

Just plugged in the UX tonight and no joy. Light doesn't come on. Charging isn't happening. Wiggled the cable, cleaned the connections, stood on my head, still no joy. Anyone have a similar problem, or a solution outside of the obvious?

I'm away from home right now but I suppose I'll get my multi-tester out when I get home to find out whether its the cradle or the UX ...

Bummed. :(

Does anyone know if there are third-party charging devices available in retail stores? I'm getting flak from Sony about not sending me a new charging cradle, so I need to look for something immediately...

I'm not sure justa but i heard some talk on other threads about a USB 2.0 cable that charges as well. Go through the threads and see what you can find.

Put the UX50 in the cradle. If you use a launcher like ZLauncher or have an app that will allow you to perform a soft reset, do it. With the unit in the cradle, performing a soft reset will reset the charging circuit in the UX50. This should allow it to charge again, unless there is really something wrong with the charging cradle.
