I had the initial email sent out, then deleted it. Does anyone know of any release date or more details as to the new features?

I still like YiShow. Gotta try the SilverScreen3 ( I have registered my 2.* version) hopefully it'll be a free upgrade.
I was a long time SS user (from vers 1.4 - 2.9) and haven't touched it since ZLauncher came out. It became stale to me. Hopefully 3.0 will be a great leap forward since it was at one time the best launcher around.
If the upgrade fee from 1.x to 2.x is any indication then 3.x will NOT be free.

I agree that 3.0 will not be free, but it sounds like a HUGE leap forward. I'll be disappointed if it doesn't have more user options to customize the launcher. I still use 2.9 and like it allot. All the others seem too unpolished for me.

Agreed...I used SS forever but it stinks on the NX. You can't customize anything and the icons take up too much space. They really dropped the ball with "real" OS5 support. Thought they would be the first ones out with it, guess they are just chillin' with the guys from Avantgo.

I got an email that I accidently deleted and it made it seem that the launcher would have more custom options as well as the ability to design you own themes easily. Sounds like many of the features of other launchers will also be incorporated. In short, my hope is that it will be a launcher that will look one way on one machine, and then completely unrecognizable because of customizing on another machine.

Sounds interesting. Does anybody know a date of release? Will it be optimized to be faster?

I asked about 3.0 and they responded saying "It's in the works, along with other goodies!"
And that was it. I replied back asking for an approximate release date and got no response.
Why is it that a software company can't release an estimated release date? Do they think that it would hurt their sales? I just don't get it. IMHO, it would had anticipation and only increase interest and excitement.
I hope it comes out soon. As a registered owner of SS 2.9.6, I would like to see a newer better version. I love the idea of being able to customize my own skins easily.

Because if they did give an 'Estimated' release date. And it didn't come out on that 'exact' day. Everybody would start bitc*ing about them.

Launcher X = no background image support = not even running with the pack in the launcher competition! ;)

i dont think it will be a free upgrade. version 1x users had to pay $10.00 to upgrade to version 2x. i suppose it will be the same for version 3
