Program Memory Full

Whenever I am syncing Avantgo, I find a message, Insufficient memory on the device.
After checking the memory allocations on the Handheld, I find System memory 7.0 MB (4.3MBFree)
Program Memory 16.0 MB (0.2MBFree)

Now I want to know, How can I free the program memory, without interfering with the functionality of loaded programmes.
Does it mean, I can not load further programmes.
My memory stick has 80 MB free, can I use that memory for loading programmes.

Yes you can use your memory stick for installing programmes. Try PowerRUN or Zlauncher. These programs can move your app and its database to the card and creates a shortcut in your launcher.

PowerRUN is dedicated to this kind of job whereas Zlauncher has is a launcher at heart, moving apps to card is just one of its features. Also ClieUX50 has a built in thingy called AliasExt which you can use. Please search this forum on how to use it.

Also doesn't Avantgo have an update which lets you store your news on your card? Could have sworn I read it somewhere....

If you open AGConnect and click Settings. You get an option to use card. I think it runs slower but sure saves your system memory.
You can also move programs into the launcher folder on the memory stick and Int memory and they will run.
I use McFile to move stuff.

Hi drchandra, you can find both PowerRun and ZL at Palmgear. Make sure you got enough space to run Zlauncher - its quite heavy (your current memory you describe above isn't enough). Also go to Clie Launcher section in this site, where you can learn more about ZL.
