Well I have to say at first I hated it on the NX, and was using Yishow on NX70
Since I got my NZ been using the standard launcher for now.
But today I switched to the Clie launcher, and to be honest after I cleaned up the categories, my only complaint would be no shortcuts to any app son the card.
Other then that I think it is better then the standard launcher, it might not be as good as yishow or others out there, but at least I wont use up anymore memory by installing any of the other apps, and clie lanchuer you cant get rid of it, so i figured let me try it and now i like it.

also does anyone know a way to stop the Clie launcher from reading your memory card to see what apps you have everytime you go back home to main screen?
I realized it is slowing down the nZ90 everytime I click on home, in the standard view it does not read the card?

isn't there an option under preferences to show expansion cards? Maybe thats whats slowing you down. Actually, I just tried it, and it seems a tad bit faster when you uncheck that box.

lisabeth, i use the default launcher and change to the mythomania skins through the preferences - no other software required. took me all of 5 minutes from download to changing the launcher skin.
as to the mem card, mine doesn't read at all when i go back to launcher and quite honestly i have no freaking clue what i did to make that stop. i'll play with it and see if i can figure it out. dm
yeah I love the clie launcher. I used it on my nx and now my nz. I tried some of the others but I like sony's the best
how do u do that littlesix? I cna't seem to be able to use any skins w/out a program and even then the programs don't seem to be working. can u explain? thanks

So the NX Launcher allows you to change graffiti & status skins too???? (PLEASE say yes, 'cause I'll be thrilled they made that adjustment. Now if they'd only let you put card apps anywhere without PowerRun or something similar...)

OK - let me give you the full scoop on how I did it...
You have to have a program to skin the VG area; like photoskins. I already had that one.
I got wind of the Mythomania skins through another thread, so I thought what the hell - give it a go. Found the set I liked and it cost a whopping 5 bucks (money well spent)
For the money, I got a set with the Clie launcher skin, the VG skin and the status bar.
After synching them, I changed the launcher skin through the properties tab and look down to display - there's the Mytho skin.
I changed the VG and status bar through photoskins and voila'..snazzy new look for my NZ. I'm currently out of the market for a launcher - this one will do me just fine.
Nowhere on his site does it say that these are NZ compatible but it's the same op system, so again -what the hell? I ran for it.
Karim (I think that's the developers' name) is a regular on the board here.
Hope this helps - let me know if it doesnt ;)

yeah but are you able to access any prgorams off mem card?
if i go into options i can turn off show exapnison card, but then i can no longer launch any apps from mem card?
ok thanks littlesix... but when I use photoskins on the clie it intially gives me an error saying it can't find somthing. Is this because I haven't registered or did I not load somthing in? Thanks
Also where on the clie cd is there a plugin for PictureGearPocket? When u download a preview of the skin from mythomania they say the program/plugin is on the cd... but I can't find it. Thanks

Ark - tell me exactly what the app says it can't find. Mine worked even unregistered - it just had something like "unlicensed copy" printed on the bottom of my skin but it did work just fine.
As to your other question, not sure how to answer you on that one. I haven't loaded any of the apps from my CD at all, and the mythomania skins loaded just fine - dm
well thanks little six. But I gave up I like the look of the clie launcher so I'll use it for now. The app gave me an error message but it still worked and didn't even say unregistered so i don't know what was going on.
As for the picturegear pocket I downloaded the preview (I didn't pay the $5) of the skin from mythomania and in the text file said u needed picturgear pocket to see it on the clie. I'm guessing its an old file or somthing that is specifc to japan because it is not on the clie cd. THanks
Ark,
PictureGearPocket isn't on the CD for the NZ90. It's for the "pgpocket" application that some Clie's use to view pictures (my SJ10 and SJ33 both use pgpocket. You use PictureGearPocket on the PC to install your photos onto the Clie. You can edit photos in Picture Gear (It also comes on VAIO computers, but needs a "plug-in" for the Clie in order to download photos to the Clie.
Other than that, I know nothing else.....
Also, PictureGearPocket actually converts the pictures you want to view into a "pgp" format and stores them in a Picture Gear Folder on your Clie or MS. Is your skin in that pgp format?
yeah pgp was the extension of the file I was trying to view. I figured somthing like this was the case. THanks

Sorry I didn't saw your post sooner...
I HAVE to update the readme... and the pics. You can view PGPocket pictures with CLIEViewer, too. Actually, the "Trial" version of my skins are only pics that allow you to preview the feel of the skins on the CLIE. I haven't found a way to demo the skins yet.
BTW, all the Trial versions have a .prc extension when viewed on PC... you got a .pgp??

Anyone know yet how to disable turning off searching on mem card for apps everytime you hit home? Without disbaling show expansion cards because then no way to access the apps on the card?
I am suprsirsed there are no more complaints about this, especailly if you have a lot of apps on the card vs ram

davy 19 -- I think I adressed this question in another of your threads. Try PowerRun. You can make Aliases of the apps, put them in the category you like, and then disable the "show expansion cards" option. I don't use it myself, but I heard very good things about it here.
