I just figured out that hte TH55/E has got even newer version of netfront then TH55/U :-)

the one on US version is build 22 and the on european version is build 26 :-)

how do the jog dial and up/down keys work in the euro version? in the US version, both of them perform the same function, i.e., one of "scroll" or "move focus (scroll)" or "move focus (jump)".

it would have been *so* much better if the jog dial could do one thing, like "Move Focus (scroll)" and the buttons another (like "Scroll").

maybe they put this in in the Euro version (i know, wishful thinking).

A build change is most likely some bug fixes. Maybe not even ones that affect the TH55. I see no reason to "upgrade" since no one has seen any benefit of doing so. It probably has to do with when Sony was finalizing the software for the European version. They probably did it after finalizing the US version. So in this (my) scenario, they would have gotten a newer build at the time...

It could even be changes specialized for European needs. I don't know what they could be. I mean, we need soap, they need...? j/k :)

Listen to a voice of reason here people. There is most likely LITTLE to NO benefit of getting the newer build. Until someone does a direct comparison or even better, gets a copy of the changelog, I see no reason to turn this into a frenzy.

You're on track Bro. Newer doesn't necessarily mean better. The higher version number could just mean Euro-specific features that might not work on our /U Clies. Worse, could wreak havoc on a US or non/euro version. Just something to remember. :D
