OK, This is a gripe and I hope it is addressed soon. The Mail app situation as it relates to synchronization with PIM's such as Lotus Notes is untennible. Someone should have thought through the ramifications of dropping the Palm Mail app wholesale and forcing people to use a third party mail app that is not compatible with the PIM sync software on the market today.
I am trying to sync to Lotus Notes R5 or 6. I can sync everything but the mail. And that is because Clie mail does not create the back end db that the Palm Mail app used to use.
I have tried the newest version of Intellisync v5.1.1 and the newest version of Lotus EasySync Pro v4.2 (EasySync Pro uses the same engine as Extended Systems' XTND PC Connect software) and neither was able to do anything with the mail app installed.
I know this is not Sony's fault, but as an ISV relying on the Palm OS they must have had SOME input into this process?
