I was wondering if there was anyway to remove pre-Installed App such as Addess, Memo Pad and The Do List from my NX80V since I'm currently using Agendus and I'm pretty happy with it. I wouldn't mind but my Clie is running out of Internal memory.
Any sugestion would truly be appreciated.
Thanks
Sacha

You can't. Thes apps you list do not take up RAM (basically).

What can i do to increase the RAM? I dont have that many new App about 4 new ones but i'm already using close to 80% of the Program Memory and also i'm prety
new at this PDA thing but what is the diffrence between System Memory and the Program Memory who's at close 10% used? Just one more question can i store any App on my MS or CF and still be able to run them?
Thanks.

Several options.

1) JackFlash (shareware) makes 15.5 mb of ROM available for programs and DBs on the NX80.

2) Powerrun or ZLauncher allow you to store many apps and DBs on the card that normally require installation in RAM. Both are shareware and, with large files, result in a performance hit.

3) There is a new beta version of MSMount for OS5 (currently freeware) that allow you to put RAM hogging Read Only DBs on your MS making them appear to be in RAM. Less of a performance hit than option 2, but also a little less flexible and it is beta software, subject to bugs.

Using a combination of these strategies, I currently have 10.5 mb of RAM free on my NX80. I also still have about 5 mb of ROM still available for JackFlash.

You have three major ways of freeing up RAM:

(1) Put files on a MS or CF.
(2) Put files in flash memory with JackFlash.
(3) Erase stuff you don't need.

#3 is obvious, but I thought I'd include it. There are a few "built-ins" that you CAN delete, like the "Clie Demo" program, but on the whole (like I said) you really can't delete things not in RAM.

For #1, while it's possible to run some stuff from a MS by putting the file into the right directory on the MS (\PALM\Launcher), you'll find that getting a third party launcher or VFS manager will be worth the few dollars it'll cost. There are lots of choices, so you'd be best to read through messages here on it. I use zLauncher and have been very happy with it (and its ability to move programs and data files to the MS). Some people like other launchers and I'm not about to get into a war over which package is best.

For #2, you'll need JackFlash. The NX80 has a lot of "flash" memory (it's like re-writable ROM) that isn't used (something like 15M). JackFlash will let you move programs (and certain read-only databases) into this area. I'd suggest that you do a search on JackFlash and check out the publisher's web site (www.brayder.com). You cannot use JackSplat with the NX80 -- it appears to do what you want (remove the build-in apps), but since it won't work on the NX80, don't even bother reading about it or asking about it.

Lastly, please register. You visit to ClieSource will be much better.

Safest option:

Go to my website and get PowerRUN to run programs from MS.
This works great.
OR Get FlyZip and compress them as you use them... Not so stable for resets though.

Warning
You do NOT want to remove Address book anyway as Agendus uses the same database!
