If you use Quicken then check out Pocket Quicken by Landware.

Totally agree with the PQ recommendation. If you don't use Quicken, there may be others that are pretty good, but if you do use Quicken, PQ is awesome.
PQ helps me stick with keeping Quicken up to date. I often don't get to my home PC for days at a time. If I didn't enter receipts as I go with PQ on my PDA, I would have a boatload to do each time I sit down at the home PC. Instead, you just sync, and then go into Quicken and acknowledge the entries through a very simple, quick process. If you enter stuff into Quicken, then sync, the new information is reflected in PQ, just as you would expect any sync conduit to work.
PQ is pretty much the killer app for me, though I have lots of terrific apps on my 665.
My .02.

If you use MicroSoft Money then use the program UltraSoft Money. Very complete and stable program:)

Another vote for PocketQuicken and Quicken combo. I've used various personal finance software on Palm/Clie, but nothing beats good ol' Quicken on a regular computer.

I used to use Quicken on my PC and Mac.
But after using PocketMoney for awhile I stopped using Quicken even on my desktop. Simpler for tracking accounts and such to just use my 665

I use QuikBudget on the handheld only. It can be exported to a spreadsheet (Excel or [gasp] something else) for more slicing and dicing, but it handles what I needed Quicken to do and it's almost always nearby -- no more stuffing receipts into my pockets and remembering to enter them at some more inconvenient time.

BTW: Pocket Quicken (PQ) is NOT a stand-alone PDA product. You MUST have Quicken installed on you PC, and sync with PQ. However, PQ does sync with Q seamlessly, and flawlessly.

I'll chime in with another enthusiastic vote for the Quicken/Pocket Quicken combo. I've been using PQ since it was released and cannot imagine doing without.
In fact, I'm currently in the process of refinishing my wood floors, so my PC is in a box and I've been out of my house for almost 2 weeks... I've been keeping my finances up to date solely with Pocket Quicken (and backing up everything to MS) until I can synch again.

I used PocketMoney as a stand-alone finance program for almost two years. It is great! Very clean, easy to use.
Since I bought SplashWallet (for SplashID and SplashShopper), I've been testing out SplashMoney. It co-exists more peacefully with Quicken, which I started using again on my new Mac. PocketMoney didn't always export transactions correctly for the Mac version of Quicken. Now that I am syncing with a computer again, I've been using SplashMoney more.
I definitely recommend trying a few out before you buy. PocketMoney and SplashMoney both have 30 day demos.

Do you know which package can deal with multiple databases. I use MS Money and have one database for personal and one for business records.
Apparantly Ultrasoft Money can only sync to one database. Would move over to Quicken if one of the PDA Quicken apps could.
Well, that is why I like the manaul export and import. Not to mention, automatic sync creates things that I don't like or at least requires a manual verification. I read about checkMoney some where here, tried and bought it. I am happy to report that it has exceeded all my expectations. I am a traveler and appreciate the feature where I can track a travel bill in a foreign currency. It supports my recurring bills and creates pretty sound reports!

Here's another vote for Quikbudget. I use it independently on my Clie, my wife uses it as well, and we can beam to each other to keep it up-to-date. It is perfect for tracking spending, and I then use Quicken as a separate account manager. Great combination!

Yes but checkmoney is for a broader personal finance management as well as personal expense tracking.

hi, I am considering buying checkmoney but can I run it on two PDAs (mine as well as on my wife's)? Or do I need to buy two copies?
you need to buy two copies of checkmoney as the license is per palm os device but it is every cent worth it.

And I don't know if it's still valid, but there's a discount code somewhere on this board for it (40% off or something like that). Search the forums for "checkmoney" and you should find it.
hi, that would be nice. I can pay $24.99 but any discount for checkmoney would help save few bucks!

it is personal choice and depends on the features you are looking for! I am hooked to checkMoney Plus.
You are correct! it comes down to the personal preference. I must say though, I never had a single "crash" with checkmoney unlike many other apps on my pda. checkmoney is a very stable and fast, and serves my needs well as far as tracking the finances go.
