I bought a refurb nx60 on ebay and have had no problems at all - it works just like a new one.

I haven't bought a refurb in a while, but I always like too. You get a lower price and what's going to break on it, already has and has been replaced!

I got a UX50 from UBID a week ago and LOVE it...no problems whatsoever.....I would say go for it!

You should do fine with refurbished as long as you stick with "manufacturer refurbished" with a manufacturer warranty. I've bought several with no klunkers.

My Clie is - and its a NX60/U - I got it from SONY though. Sebring is right - stick with the manufacturers refurbs. Buy it from SONY itself - you may pay some more than other places but then you'll be safer .. :)

I have to add...mine is a SONY refurb...I would only go with the Manufacturer's refurb program myself.

Same here. Bought a Mfg Refurb NR70V almost 2 years ago and have had NO problems (other than it has no real space on PDA, so guess I need to upgrade). It shipped with, everything. Discs, cables, the manual, etc. The case was even in good shape.
I recently bought a NEC MobilePro 780 for my 6 yr old to learn typing. Great idea, perfect sized for him. However, it was not a Mfg. refurb. In fact, it was hardly a refurb, more like just got shipped from the original owner, wiped off with a damp cloth by the "broker" and then sent on. I got the serial cable and power cord, that's it. No disc, not even the syncing software.
So take this advice: buy Mfg refurbs, they at least also come with 90 day warranty too.

I got a Sony refurb and it's been 100%. Warranty is only 30 days though (or was it 90 days?). I would do it again.

My NX80 is refurbished too; got it through through Amazon.com.
No problems, came with all the bits in great shape. Just like new, really.

i just ordered a refurb gateway m305 laptop from ebay. I got it for $580, and would be over $1300 new.

I got my SL10 a while ago on a factory refurb, no problems, it came in a box that said Sony on it and everything, except it was brown and not green like the new ones. I think it came with a 90 day warrentee, that was never used. Couldn't tell it from new....

I have a refurb NX60 from Ubid. It has a Sony refurb label and box. Ubid also offers extended warranties, which Sony does not on refurbs. My only regret is that I didnt wait for an NX70 or 80. I would love a camera.
