I am too busy to "trial" facer 2.0 at the moment, but would be interested in feedback by anyone who cares/has the time/inclination to do so! Thanks in advance! ;)

facer 2.0 doesn't offer anything special except for today screen. but appshelf is way better.

zlauncher 4.10 is almost unbeatable.

I've been using Facer for a while. I actually think that some of the better graphical displays were lost in the new version. I like the Today feature and I am starting to look strongly at Appshelf. I like a minimalist display with my own background which Appshelf can handle, but Facer 2.0 hasn't shown me yet.

what plugins does Facer 2.0 come with?

the standard datebook and to do plugins, nothing for third party vendors yet

I've tried out Facer and I feel that it's like Zlauncher in its younger days with the addition of the today screen. Facer does show lots of promise and I'm sure others out there would enjoy using it.

However, my default launcher for quite a while now has been AppShelf. AppShelf's simplicity and functionality is perfect for my UX50. Zlauncher has become too bloated with features that others would enjoy but it's just too cluttered for me.

When my TH55 arrives, I don't even know if I'm going to use a third-party launcher.

I would probably be more apt to want to use Facer a little more if their customer service was a little speedier. I've needed my registration code before, and it took a week. They changed to a new registration scheme with 2.0, I requested a new code two days ago and still haven't heard anything.
Not sure what's going on, because in the past, they always replied to me the same day...sometimes even within the hour.

Ok, I finally got my new code, but found a few errors in the new Facer.
First of all, I can't find any way to make the datebook or to do plugins to link to Agendus. They both open the default Palm OS apps. Second, I put three new themes on my memory stick, and Facer couldn't find them. Third, I moved those themes to main memory, and Facer could only find ONE of them. Fourth, when I checked the option to have the plugin separator visible, it cuts through the top of the to do information (graphics shift/bug, which used to be present in earlier incarnations of Facer). Fifth, when I changed to the one theme Facer could see other than the default, I had a strange aberrancy occur which was like having a blank preferences dialog box open, and nothing else on the screen except the quick launch icons.
So, there's my first take of the new Facer.

Thanks for all the feedback to my question! :) I'm too busy to play with Facer right now; very happy camper with ZLauncher 4.1, and from the comments it doesn't appear I'm missing anything with this version of Facer. ;)

Facer has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it currently has no jog dial support, and is still quite buggy. Still sort of feels like a beta.

Plug-ins have a lot of potential though.

I really thought it would be more refined with the 2.0 version...but it's just as buggy as previous versions. I want to like Facer, not because I don't like ZLauncher, but because I like to have a fresh look on my Clie every now and then, and I don't just mean themes. I change stuff around pretty regularly, and Facer used to be a good change now and again.

Well after being a Facer user for at least 6 months, I've defected to Zlauncher w/Hilauncher and TealGlance.
