Previously had NX70 and Sony Clie for Palm Desktop installed. Returned NX70, uninstalled Desktop software. Purchased NZ90 installed Desktop software and assigned password to new handheld. Actually same password and previous device. I have not been able to view my private records as I get the error message Password is Incorrect. I also cannot delete the first user ID that I had on the previous device because again the error message Password is incorrect keeps coming up. Any one know of a way to delete the password from the desktop? I can lock and unlock the handheld using the password...

I just had the exact same problem. Previously had a Handspring Visor, but made the switch to an SJ30 last weekend. I deleted the original desktop software, installed Sony's version, and then hotsynced. Later I set my security preferences on the desktop to require a password and hotsynced again. Now I can't get in. Although my password works just fine on the handheld, the desktop software keeps giving me an incorrect password message. The only way I was able to resolve was by unassigning the password on my handheld and hotsyncing again. This removes the desktop password and allowed me to change my desktop security preference back to unlocked, but it's very annoying that I can't use the desktop password feature.

Would appreciate help from anyone who has insights to this problem!

Same problem on Tungsten C.
Password works fine on PDA but Palm Desktop says its incorrect even after resynching.
A bug in Palm OS, maybe?

I remember this problem. If you have like special characters,t he desktop won't recognize it, just basicaly use smallcap letters only for password and it should work, I had original password like this

ThI$mYp@$$w0rd-Didn't recognize this on desktop

thisismypassword- recognize on desktop
