Can I use a CFII card in my NX70V with the CF driver from Athena America (former Eruware)?
And if, how large cards can I put in?
Only 512MB or 1GB or even the new 4-5GB one?

Check your monitor, near the upper right corner of this webpage you can find a button called "search" and I am sure your questions got answered million times before (as I asekd similar questions myself and personally know that there are some threads about microdrives).
But as you are new here the short version:
a) No idea if it works with Athena driver - but why should I pay for a driver while I can get the winderful working hacked driver for free? With the hacked driver I can use my 2 GB microdrive without problems.
b) Size is limited to 1,99 GB (and this means real GB, not the hdd advertised GBs, so advertised 2,2GB microdrves will be the max) if you want to use all the space on the drive. In theory >2GB drives should work too, but you have to format them to FAT16 and thus are only able to use 1,99GB of it.
c) power consumption is high with cf-drive usage!

Shark - I use CF Magic. Works great. I tried Eruware, had issues. Yes, you can try the freebie hacked driver, but I had no luck getting it to work on my NX70. I spent days trying to get it to work. I think my installation of Eruware (and support for the guys developing the CF drivers) prevented me from installing the freebie version.
As for Egalus - his response is correct. The delivery of his message is incorrect. If you do a search on Egalus, you will see he is consistently RUDE.
Yes, similiar questions have been posted many times. But I understand not wanting to plow through hundreds of post. There are over 2,600 posts about Pelaca's free CF driver - over 5,000 about Eruware (yes, I took the time to search and find the low end numbers for each search Shark would of made).
Maybe Egalus has plenty of time to read each of these to research his questions. I know I have a reply for any of his future post COLOR=red]“Check your monitor, near the upper right corner of this webpage you can find a button called "search" and I am sure your questions got answered million times before …..”. [/COLOR] – Winner of rudest response to date.
This is discussion board. If you got a question, ask it.

Thanks rcrump2005. And you're right, it takes a very long time and I started to search but in the first threads I find nothing.
But also thanks to Egalus for answering my questions.

@ rcrump2005:
Yes, I am rude if someone does not search for answers before posting them, especially if they have been answered by myself or for me more than once.
And yes, searching is not easy work, but typing the same answers over and over again is not usefull either.
And as almost noone new to the forum even trys the search (which is a fundamental function of any forum I know) I tend to pin their eyes on that button.
If you don't have the time to read the posts than maybe you shouldn't buy a product with very limited cf-support (only for wlan).
If you would have searched without prejudice you might have seen, that most of my 170+ posts (more than 140 more than you ever did) were informative and friendly and most times they don't just include a
"RTFM"
you would get by most senior users of this forum that just don't like answering the same question over and over again.
If you don't like my writing don't read it!
And if you think SHOUTING "rude" in a post is not rude, than welcome to the big irony of life.
@forum:
sorry that I got personal on this guy, but I tend to get personal in response to personal insults.

If most senior members of this forum just don't like answering the same question over and over again, then they should just not bother instead of whining and wasting their time typing up their complaints, btw your post count is much higher than mine too.

Cause of that I tend to just tell people where the search button is and sometimes (mostly for real newbs with less than 10 posts) I give a short summarize too.

there should be ONE sticky thread at the top with ONE post at the top explaining the directions for FAQ's
no one should be allowed to post their reponses there
because if they see 5+ pages of responses, it deters them from reading from the beginning
people come here for quick answers
and while some are wise enough to stay, others are ignorant asses and decide to leave, and dump sony because of their own incomprehensive minds

OK.. I need to apologize to Egalus. I jumped the gun when reading your response to Shark… a combination of a bad day and searching for hours on ClieSource about a question I have on NX70 and GPS. I was just frustrated with not being able to find what I needed in one post…. the response from Egalus just struck me wrong at the time… but he is correct…so many of the questions posted are duplicates of prior post (hence, the search difficulty with so many post about the same questions…) and if you look in detail, Egalus is a major contributor to information on ClieSource.
Please accept my apology… and thanks for the many great insights posted on ClieSource… rcrump2005…

Apology accepted.
And for my part sorry too, if I get a bit rude about the search button this is only cause there are many people that never do a search but just ask questions that have been answered more than once before and this new question again just gets other people to get bad search results (with 100 hits or more) where it is not easy to find the one or two threads with real content.
